Definitely military because night-time reduced ligthing; not really armoured; not Japanese or from any UK colonial territory (except Canada) because LHD; maybe some sort of artillery tug or other kind of auxiliary vehicle (aircraft tug, even) not intended for the battlefield proper; obvious off-road and/or large load capability with excellent approach angle and quite big, wide tyres, maybe even balloon ones.

Old Chinese stuff would be likely be of Soviet (i.e. old US designs) origin, but this seems to be for extremely specific uses.

Interestingly there seems to be no windscreen. Weather protection likely non-existent too. Very dark paint is curious too.

Really difficult, damn.

Could it be from the US? If those are really reduced lighting lamps it would be unlikely to be South American, methinks.
